This afternoon I went to our local photo shop to see what new photo cameras they had available. I was totally enthusiastic about the Nex3 camera from Sony. I was allowed to try the camera and made a pictures from Twinkle. I took this bear because he was not easy to photograph because of the sparkle shiny metalic thread I used to make him. Comparing with the pictures I took with my camera these are so much better!! Guess I need to save up for this Nex3 or Nex5 (extra for 5 is that you can film with it) camera.

Leather Look Bears !!
I am offering 3 Leather Look mini bears for sale. I sculpt these little bears from a mix of ProSculpt and Fimo, and special treatment to achieve the leather look I am after. Each bear is hand sculpted, no molds are used, and fully jointed. The bears you see in above picture are Jim 2 1/4 " (right), Hoss 2.5" (middle) and Buddy 2 3/4" (left).
Jim, the little Bear in above picture is the first Leather Look Bear offered on Bear Pile . Look at Bear Pile for more information, pictures and pricing. You can contact me through Bear Pile or just sent me an email if you are interested in adopting Jim, and/or one of the other bears in the picture. I can ship 1, 2 or 3 bears for the same price.

Sock Monkeys
Inspired by the real sock monkey toy from the past, I tried to achieve their look in miniature crochet. Using thin thread and needle, to be able to add as much as possible detail, but still end up with a miniature. Tea dyed for that vintage worn look. Monkey and Elephant in picture are between 2,5" and 3" sitting and besides for the Sock Monkey Collector, they make lovely toys displayed old style bears and dolls.
The real sock monkeys were mostly house made in the past, from the original Red Heel socks. Sock Monkeys are still very wanted today, and offered by various Artists. If you like to try your hand on making one your self, on this site http://www.morpethteddybears.com/shop/ you can find the next book with patterns for the Original Sock Monkey and other Animals. They also sell the originals socks to make your own Sock Monkey Toy!!
