Ladbergen 2012

We had a wonderful weekend in Ladbergen. This is a very special Teddy Bear show. All the town is Teddy Bears!! Shops are open and even in the windows are Teddy Bears displayed.

During the opening the local Mayor received the first Bear from a limited edition, special made for this year, from the show organizer.

During the show a felt workshop was teached. I followed the progress of one of the students during the  workshop.

The Ladberger Teddy Bear Challenge was held in 2 categories, small bears and big(ger) bears, and the winners are chosen by the public.  This year the Theme was; Bear with Animal.

A special thank you for Claudia, for all the help she gives to make the show successful!! Next year the 20th Teddy Bear Show in Ladbergen will be on 8 and 9 June 2013!!

Kitchen

Long time no posts, we were very busy with rebuilding our kitchen. Now it is almost done.. here pictures before..

and now!!

We planned this "break down" and "build up" between shows and I am happy we managed it, so now I can concentrate on bears again. Upcoming weekend is the show in Ladbergen (Germany).  The show is 2 days, and the entire Village will celebrate.

 I am busy dyeing new colors mini fabrics and hope I can manage some Inspiration fabrics to bring as well.  I try to post more soon..

Teddy Bear Total is back!!

The new Teddy Bear Total crew did a wonderful job. It`s a fact now.. They brought back Teddy Bear Total to Münster and it was GREAT!! I sure will be back next year!!

Although my bears didn`t win a Golden George, I enjoyed the evening tremendous and happy with the Nominee trofees I received for Acrobat Bear and Bare Bear. 

Spring is in the Air

Spring is in the Air..  I thought I show my latest finished thread Bunny. This little bunny is 1.5 inches tall. I wet felted for him a carrot, so big... will last forever for this little one.

 Thread Bunny (including the carrot) is my submission for the Raffle at Teddy Bear Artist Event 2012 in Stratford Upon Avon Sunday 10th June 2012!!

Back from Hugglets

What a great show we had last weekend at Hugglets. All the day visitors in all the rooms.. amazing!!
Thanks so much to all who came see me, and who took home bears, friends and/or mini fabrics!  Petty I did not had time to go around to see all the wonderful bears and friends from fellow Artist myself.

These Inspiration fabrics I introduced first at Hugglets. I am curious to see what bears will be made with these. Many possibilities with multiple colors in one piece mini fabric.

These and other colors are now also available in my web shop. You find these in the Inspiration category called Carnival. 

 Also available in the same category of my shop stripes fabric in Scarlet and Ginger.

The next 2 weeks I probable will be busy to dye more fabrics for Wiesbaden, the biggest 2 day show in Europe, and making bears and friends.. if time permits I keep you updated here and/or on Face-book.

SMALL... SMALLER.. SMALLEST !!

I had a special order for a 10 mm thread bear. As you know I don`t do these little ones to often, if I do they mostly turn out about 15 mm. It is possible to go very very small, but if I can not add the same detail as in a bigger bear it is not right for me. So wow..I was happy when I finally, after 13 mm and 12 mm, had the last bear turn out 10 mm, with the same detail as the bigger bears and fully jointed.
